Service Level Agreement Management System Over IP Networks

چکیده
As the contents of multimedia proliferate, the higher level of network speed is needed to the customer. SLA is a negotiated agreement between a customer and the service provider on levels of service characteristics and the associated set of metrics. In this paper, we propose an SLA management system reacting not only when an SLA is violated, but also before imminent SLA violations. We provides a common generic framework capable of components to interwork via XML. The managed SLA metrics are classified into three categories : service opening metrics, trouble metrics, and performance metrics. We rely on a proposal for an architecture to provide the end-user with SLM over IP Networks from the service initiation to the service termination. Finally, we’ll give an example to illustrate a typical scenario to assure customers’ SLAs in ADSL network

SLAM (Service Level Agreement Manager) services: control and management of phone channel bandwidth on Premium IP Network
This work presents an advanced service implemantation regarding an automatic control and management of phone channels bandwidth requirements over a Premium IP (PIP) network. This service is implemented by the SLAM (Service Level Agreement Manager) on the Intelligent Node based on the Active Network technology. During the last years “Voice over IP” (VoIP) and IP Telephony has gained an unprecede...
متن کاملSelf-aware management of IP networks with QoS guarantees
Self-aware management allows the network to react and to adapt to changes of situation. In this paper an architecture is described for selfaware management of IP networks offering QoS guarantees. This architecture uses policy-based management and multi-agent systems. The originality of the present approach lies in the intention to give a real autonomy to the components intervening in the chain ...
متن کاملA Novel Fuzzy Logic Base Scheduling Mechanism for Service Differentiation in IP Networks
Quality of Service (QoS) refers to a set of rules or techniques that help the network administrators use the available network resources optimally to manage the effects of congestion and to treat the applications according to their needs. The differentiated services architecture (DiffServ) allows providing quality of service to users. The major DiffServ premise is that individual flows with sim...
متن کاملProposal of a Routing and Management Agent for MPLS networks
Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) network Operation and Management is crucial for Service Providers (SPs), in order to timely deliver IP Connectivity Services with QoS assurance based on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to individual and corporative users. Seamlessly integration with underlying optical infrastructure is also a main issue. This paper presents some techniques that face the prob...
متن کاملSLA Management in Enterprise Network
The transmission of multimedia streams with a particular and guaranteed level of QoS (Quality of Service) from source to destination is a major challenge in multimedia communications over IP networks. In this paper, we introduce a generalized, flexible form of the traditional SLA (Service Level Agreement) between users and network owners, for the transmission of a multimedia stream with several...
